Transfer of Rules from TAC 202 to TAC 477

Effective August 1, 2026, the Department of Information Resources "Information Security Standards" rules have been transferred to the Texas Cyber Command.

The new rules are 1 Texas Administrative Code Ch. 477 (formerly 1 Texas Administrative Code Ch. 202).

No language was changed at this time. The only change is the re-numbering. The rules are now housed in the Texas Cyber Command title (Title 1, Part 19).

There is no substantive impact or change based on this transfer. Any references to TAC 202 in system policy or regulation, or member rule or procedure, should now reference the equivalent rule in TAC 477. Updates to affected system policies and regulations will be forthcoming.
